Last week's Speaker
Kathy reported that the club had paid its dues to Rotary International. She said that the club's videos had been transferred to DVD for showing on Channel 3. The membership committee is creating a member survey for dissemination in the near future. The club also made a donation of $1,000 to the Dove Foundation, which is striving to create a school in Vietnam. Kathy T. and Isabel are taking the lead in gathering food baskets for Thanksgiving and holiday baskets for Christmas. The club's Christmas party is Dec. 13 at 4 p.m. at East restaurant. The 2010 RI convention is June 19-22 in Montreal. Cost is $655 per person, including bus transportation. Finally, Vince is heading up a quilt raffle, with proceeds going to Wrap a Smile.
