    Kathy Chase thanked everyone for a fantastic year and said that everyone in the club should be proud of themselves. She went on to mention the following individuals:

    • Suzanne Ilsley for stepping in as Secretary for the last 2 months and for organizing the Taste of Wells
    • Dennis Thayer for being a great Sergeant of Arms and for the Blood Drive
    • Terry Hodskins for being Foundation Chair and serving on the scholarship committee
    • Eleanor Vadenais for stepping in as Publicity Chair
    • Kathy Thornton for her very successful efforts in providing food and gifts to families during the holiday season, as well as serving on the scholarship committee
    • Billy Hobbs for Charter Night and chairing the Strawberry Festival and agreeing to be Vice President
    • Rick Goodrich for chairing the Golf Tournament and keeping us in touch with the District and serving on the membership committee
    • Vince Christinziano for being a  great secretary for most of the year
    • Rocky Furman for taking over the candy machines and setting up the sound system each week
    • Lee Hansen for chairing another successful Rotary Auction
    • Dennis Hardy for Charter Night, social events, and agreeing to chair the Rte. 1 Beautification Project
    • John Kreie for the membership committee, scholarship committee, golf committee and the new Wells Around Us barbeque
    • Margaret for being the breakfast treasurer, hosting Christmas party, and for "so many other things to help me that I can't begin to name them all"
    • Bob Foley for chairing the Chicken BBQ and providing prayers
    • Ken Kuscher for all his work on our website and newsletter
    • Nancy Raynes for taking over as meeting reporter
    • Luke Guerrette for being Treasurer, on the golf committee and budget advisor

    The following members were presented with inscribed paperweights thanking them for their service on the Board of Directors: Terry Hodskins, Bob Bohlmann, John Kreie, Nick Poli, Jon Sevigney, Kathy Thornton, Vince Christinziano, Isabelle Julien, and Walter Leffler. Luke Guerrette also received a paperweight for his service as Treasurer, as did Rocky Furman for "Rooky of the Year." Ron Collins received a plaque for his providing such outstanding speakers this past year. And Margaret Chigas was presented with an inscribed clock as the "Most Valuable Player of the Year Award."

     

    Kathy then turned the presidency over to Margaret Chigas who showed the club the Shelter Box banner the club received for our two shelter box contributions. She said that Kathy was going to be a "tough act to follow." Margaret introduced the three new members of the BOD who are replacing the retiring Terry Hodskins, Bob Bohlmann, and Jon Kreie - Bob Foley, Lee Hansen, Suzanne Ilsley. Luke Guerrette will continue as Treasurer, Billy Hobbs will be Vice President, Suzanne Ilsley/Vince Christinziano, Secretaries, Joe Sheehan/Bill Chigas, Speakers, Nancy Raynes, Reporter, Eleanor Vadenais, Publicity.

     

    Margaret then handed out Rotarian's 4-Way Test cards to everyone in attendance as favors to everyone and announced that our next meeting would be on July 12.
