WHEN DID YOU JOIN ROTARY? 2013

WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO JOIN ROTARY?  I actually never knew what Rotary was before my employer asked that I join. I understood that I would attend meetings where I would build a better network and immerse myself within the community. Never did I think it would have the profound impact that it has had on my life. The dedication and selfless acts of kindness that members of Rotary offer their communities is nothing short of amazing.

SINCE BEING IN ROTARY ARE THERE ANY SPECIFIC PROJECTS THAT YOU ARE MOST PROUD OF? WHY? I have really enjoyed the opportunity to work with our youth. Rotaract, Literacy Awards Night, Student of the Month, are a few of the programs I’ve been a part of. There is something so powerful and so rewarding about being with these kids. I find I learn far more from them then they do from me. It’s truly one of the most rewarding experiences.

TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF: WHAT IS YOUR LINE OF WORK? WHAT GOT YOU IN THE FIELD? WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE HOBBYS? WHAT DO YOU WANT OTHER ROTARIANS AND MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY TO KNOW ABOUT YOU? WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO GAIN OUT OF THIS ROTARY CLUB? I have been in banking for 12 years, most currently with Kennebunk Savings Bank as the Branch Manager in Wells. I specialize in everything from home ownership to assisting with opening an account. I take great pride in the trust that is instilled in me to service my customers’ needs. A mother of 2 young boys I understand the challenge of being a working parent and value the time I get to coach their soccer team, watch them play lacrosse and baseball. My husband Isaiah and I met our freshman year in high school and feel humbled to have the relationship we have after all these years. “Whatever Rotary may mean to us, to the world it will be known by the results it achieves”. – Paul Harris, Founding Member
